SEWING 101: LEARN ALL THE STITCHES!
Interested in learning how to sew or upcycle? Have a machine, and don’t know where to start? Then this class is made for you!
This course will be taking place on WEDNESDAY NIGHTS over the course of four weeks on the following dates:
- SEPTEMBER 2, 9, 16, and 23!
During this course, we will be going over all the steps necessary for you to feel comfortable on a sewing machine, and send you off ready to sew on your own! We will be creating two projects throughout the course, a pillow case, and an elevated “boat and tote” bag out of deadstock + recycled fabrics.
Throughout this four week course, you will learn:

The basics of operating a sewing machine

How to properly thread a machine, and wind a bobbin

Getting comfortable on the machine - and learning all the basic functions

Learn different stitches and seam finishes, how to sew a straight seam

Simple pattern construction

THIS WORKSHOP IS INTENDED FOR STUDENTS 18+ !
DATES: SEPTEMBER WORKSHOP 4 WEEK SERIES: Every WEDNESDAY in SEPTEMBER starting SEPTEMBER 2-23.
TIME: 6:00–8:30/9:00 PMish (most workshops average 2.5 hours but be prepared to stay for 3 hours some evenings! We have a set goal for each workshop, and sometimes were here longer!)
MATERIALS + MACHINES ARE PROVIDED!

Feel free to BYO machine if you have one or reserve one of ours! We have all of the supplies(scissors, irons, thread, fabric, etc)you need here! Although, if you have some special fabric you want to work with, feel free to BYOF! :)
- Rent one of our machines, or bring your own machine if you’d like to learn on it! (PLEASE ENSURE YOUR MACHINE IS IN WORKING ORDER BEFORE CLASS!)
